IN CAMP II

The Aragonese mountaineers left the base camp yesterday. Javier did not feel well on his way to camp I, and made the hard decision to return to the base camp, where he is now. Marta and Carlos slept in camp I, and left very early this morning towards camp II. They are now there with the other expeditions, at 6.800 meters. Weather is cold and with strong wind. They found the camp in bad conditions. Their tent could not be seen, it had been covered by the snow. They worked hard to put the tent in the right way again. Now they are resting. Tomorrow, if everything works out well, they will go up to camp III. Let’s hope weather holds on and allows them to progress in this long and difficult way to the summit of this 8.167 meters mountain. We will keep you posted.
