THE ADVENTURE STARTS
Last Monday 24th of March, Carlos Pauner and his two team mates Marta Alejandre and Javier Pérez, headed off towards Dhaulagiri, in Nepal.
The started their trip at Zaragoza’s airport. The media and friends of the three mountaineers were right there, at the runway, to say good bye to them.
Ignacio Revillo, General Secretary of the Goverment of Aragón, gave them the Aragonese pennant.
They flew to Madrid in an airplane from the brand new air-taxi company called “Aeronia”, from which Carlos Pauner is founding member. This air company will also be offering tourist flights over the Pyrenees, where Carlos will pilot and comment on the beautiful landscape of our mountains.
From Madrid they flew to Katmandu, with one stop in Doha.
The three mountaineers spent three days in the capital of Nepal, organizing the mountain permits, getting the cargo out of the customs, and dealing with few other issues, before heading off to Dhaulagiri.
On Friday 28th they flew to Pokhara, west of Nepal. From there they travelled to Beni by bus and they started 7 days of trekking which will lead them to the base camp of “The White Mountain”.
